Natural environments are increasingly being exploited for their resources, particularly because of the many economic issues surrounding them. Lagoon and marine ecosystems are far from being spared. The management of the biodiversity of these areas is now becoming a major concern and recommendations for the integrated management of lagoon and marine ecosystems are multiplying.

The massive exploitation of these areas, notably by fishing, the increase in the number and size of construction sites and global warming have a real impact on these ecosystems. It has been shown that giving priority to a single production has a strong impact on the others. In the long term, negative effects are even felt on the production initially targeted.

The stakes are many and varied:

• Producing more while increasing biodiversity
• Creation of submarine farms
  -* Valorization of species at the heart of lagoon and marine areas and their habitats
• Increase in tourism activities through environmental preservation
• Improved health for the people and species of this ecosystem.
• Seeding the entire ocean food chain

The aim today is therefore to increase our knowledge of these environments, particularly of the relationships between the various ecosystem services for the sustainable management of these areas. It is essential to list and analyze the associations of ecosystems, whether the effects are positive or negative, in order to manage sustainably and maximize the benefits for society by developing complementarities.

To conclude, the ecosystem service may seem simple but its implementation is much more complex in a context of territorial management.
