An essential meeting every year, in November, in Africa.

The Geneva Forum (www.osi-genevaforum.org), organized by the NGO Objectif Sciences International (OSI) since 2001, is a circle made up of people who want to help change the world, through concrete actions, sharing their winning practices. It is a multi-level and an inter-professional platform at the service of the resolution of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and dedicated to the creation, support and development of the activities of all actors working for Sustainable Development which can be used for a better future. These activities can be related for example, to Green Technologies, Science, Education, Nature… The GENEVA FORUM contribute to the meeting of the different Spheres of operators on the planet, who do not necessarily meet on another occasion.

The continental Geneva Forum Africa brings together seven symposia, every year in November, in Africa

- Rights of Nature, for Peace and Development. More info here

- Participatory research, Citizen Science, Crowd-innovation and Fab Labs, for Peace and Development. More info here

- Education through project based learning pedagogy, for Peace and Development. More info here

- Impact investments, donations and philanthropists, for Peace and Development. More info here

- Responsible and sustainable finance and digital currencies, for Peace and Development. More info here

- Sustainable travel and tourism, for Peace and Development. More info here

- Conflict mediation and conflict resolution, for Peace and Development. More info here

During the Geneva Forum, various exchange sessions are organized, and we find in particular new forms of incubation and intermediation, independent and corporate coworking spaces, maker spaces, hacker spaces, open spaces. These various characteristics and formats make the GENEVA FORUM a real Fab Lab installed at the heart of the United Nations system, at the service of all actors wishing to support the Sustainable Development Goals promoted by the UN. We observe the horizontal mutual aid logic in entrepreneurial support, in addition to the vertical expertise logic that has long been in force. Entrepreneurs, scientists with solutions, funders, and members of UN bodies (whether their project is close or not) are considered as a “community”. The gift and counter-gift, the collective dynamic, are therefore at the heart of the process of developing solutions for Peace and the SDGs. The posture of expertise and transmission becomes nonsense as soon as all knowledge of the industrial structure becomes almost instantly obsolete from one year to the next, in a world that values permanent innovation, disruption, liquidity. The entrepreneurial process itself becomes collective ideation and co-creation. Entrepreneurial practices are now available in multiple forms with variable interweavings (inclusive, complementary): pitch practices, coworking practices, crowdfunding practices, design thinking practices, open knowledge practices, mobility work practices, do-it-yourself practices, as we see in fab labs and during these hackathons such as Objectif Sciences International organizes every year on its various Local Groups.

To facilitate the participation of all, the Geneva Forum offers similar events in each continent of the world. Members then have, following their participation in the continental Geneva Forum of their country of residence, the possibility of applying to participate in the World Geneva Forum which then takes place in December in Geneva.
